Mercy House is a biblically based, one-year residential program that daily invests in men to empower them to live out their best lives – free from addiction, rooted in their worth and purpose and making a positive impact in the community around them.

At Mercy House, you are brought into a family that will walk with you into a life of freedom and restoration.

The program includes cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), life-skills training, education in healthy living, spiritual development and job training. Men who are trapped in addiction and life-controlling behaviors are being holistically transformed and launched into a lifetime of freedom, purpose and life-giving community.

The treatment and recovery services at Mercy House are exclusively faith-based in nature and are not subject to licensure or regulation by the Texas Commission on Alcohol and Drug Abuse. This program offers only non-medical treatment and recovery methods, such as prayer, moral guidance, spiritual counseling and scriptural study.

We have a variety of opportunities for men to volunteer at the home to support its daily operations. Volunteer opportunities range from ministering to the men in the house through prayer and encouragement to accompanying the men in the program during their volunteer activities. Mentors invest in relationships with the men at Mercy House to help them build the community that is so crucial to their success when they finish the recovery program. We also need professionals who are willing to provide pro bono services in a variety of areas of expertise, such as counseling, medicine, education, etc.
