Anyone who has been a part of Antioch Community Church for long has heard stories of lives being transformed by the love of God in places all over the world–from Mongolia to the Middle East to Waco. It’s a transforming love that is sweeping over nations and restoring hearts. God is encountering people all over the world and we believe it’s a story that needs to be told.
Like so many others, we are four people who have tasted and seen this love of God. The journey of the church is never perfect, but we believe God is moving powerfully through his people. The four of us–Alex Ruiz, Rachel Swearingen, Alex Emig and Wes Longacre– are on a journey to document the move of God. We will travel to around nine countries and visit Antioch church plants all over the world to tell the story of how God is moving. We will collect stories of the lives being transformed and the workers who are laying down their lives for the sake of the Gospel. Making this documentary will help tell that story to those who have never heard it and to those of us who have known for years of the work happening in these places.
Check out this video for more about what we are doing.
We are humbled and expectant to be a part of telling this story. We have already started the first leg of the trip here in Mongolia. But, with a project of this magnitude comes great need. We are still in need of around $20,000 to pay for the second leg of the trip.
Would you pray about partnering with us in prayer and possibly a financial gift?
If God leads you to give, you can do so by putting “Movement” in the memo line on the online giving form at www.antiochfc.org/give. Simply choose the mission trips tab and write “Movement.”
Thank you so much for your prayers! We hope to update more as the trip goes along.
Here is a picture of our journey in Mongolia so far and a wonderful Mongolian woman we met. Blessings on your journey!
