Pillars are essential to the life of our church!

Pillars are the people who sign up to serve at the point of greatest need and give their all to build the Church. We would not be able to do what we do without these incredible people. We rely on more than 400 Pillars each Sunday and more than 1,200 throughout the week in our various ministries.

We believe serving creates a space for you to encounter God and disciple others as you find community within the church. There are many opportunities for you to use your time, talent and skills to serve. No matter your passion, there is a place for you, and we can’t wait to help you get connected!

      Funeral Host/Hostess
We are looking for people who can be available for one to three hours to help greet people attending, direct them to the location of the funeral, help serve food that has been either catered or brought in by Lifegroup members, possibly put away leftover food, then clean up the kitchen afterwards.  You will most likely be working with at least one other person. One of the challenges with funerals is that they are usually happening with very little notice. So, if you have a flexible schedule and a heart to serve grieving hearts, this ministry is for you!

      Safety Team
The safety team is looking for people who have a heart to serve those who want to come to church and experience God in a place where they feel safe.  We accomplish that in ways that are not intrusive or threatening to those around us.  We want to engage people in a way that is loving and honoring. Welcoming those to church who want to attend and communicating with the peace officers on site, about the individuals who may pose a disturbance.

      FIT Team
Our “FIRST IMPRESSIONS TEAM” is the face of our college ministry at our weekly college service. This team serves by showing up to our Wednesday night service early to set the tone by greeting, high-fiving, smiling, and being a part of a team that creates an electric environment.

      College Production
If you are gifted or interested in growing in graphics, lighting, photography, videography, editing, or AV, then we would love to train and knit you into our college production team. We are looking for faithful, willing and excellent students to serve behind the scenes during our weekly college service.

      Community Feast
Every Thursday from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., we come together to share a meal with people in poverty, have a time of worship and hear a message. Opportunities to serve at the Feast include welcoming and connecting with guests that attend, assisting with the kids’ program, preparing and serving food, set up and clean up.

      Mercy House
We have a variety of opportunities for men at the home to support its daily operations. These range from ministering to the men in the house through prayer and encouragement to accompanying the men in the program during their every day activities. Mentors invest in relationships with the men at Mercy House to help them build the community that is so crucial to their success when they finish the recovery program. We also need professionals who are willing to provide pro bono services in a variety of areas of expertise, such as counseling, medicine, education, etc.

STARS mentors are being salt and light to our city by helping the kids of our community succeed in school and in life! We have two ways to get involved, Book Club and Friday Club. In Book Club, a mentor meets with a group of two or three students for 30 minutes once a week over lunch at their school, where they talk, eat and take turns reading a book together. You don’t have to be a trained teacher or tutor, all you need is a heart to encourage students, help them along as they read and show interest in their lives. This simple model can help kids catch up to their reading level, which can make them four times more likely to graduate from high school and impact the trajectory of their whole life!In Friday Club, mentors meet with kids on Fridays after school for games, crazy challenges, arts and crafts, and small group discussion times, where they offer friendship, encouragement and advice to kids as they’re navigating the transitions of late elementary school and middle school. Through these mentoring programs we are showing the love of Jesus in practical ways to hundreds of kids right here in our church neighborhood!

UnBound mobilizes the church and activates local communities to fight human trafficking through prevention, professional training and survivor advocacy.
