Holy Week Devotionals
Introduction
The resurrection of Jesus changes everything.
It is not merely the happy ending to a tragic story. It is the turning point of history, and the turning point of our lives. When Jesus walked out of the grave, He did more than defeat death. He inaugurated a new creation. What was broken can now be made whole. What was bound can now be set free. What was lost can now be restored.
Because Jesus lives, we are not left trying to produce life on our own. His resurrection power transforms us from the inside out. The risen King does not simply rule over us, He lives within us. And where He reigns, fruit begins to grow: freedom instead of shame, forgiveness instead of guilt, belonging instead of isolation, peace instead of anxiety, wholeness instead of fragmentation.
During Holy Week, we remember His death. On Resurrection Sunday, we celebrate His victory. But in every day that follows, we live in the reality that the resurrection is still bearing fruit. As you move through these devotional readings, ask not only, “What happened then?” but also, “What is growing in me now because Jesus is alive?”
The resurrection changes everything, and it is still changing us.
