Our Inheritance

The early church in Ephesus was zealous, passionate and faithful. In Revelation 2, we see that approximately 40 years later, the Ephesian church had "abandoned the love [they] had at first." Although they were dutiful, they had lost the love that once had driven them. Jesus' exhortation to them then was, "Remember therefore from where you have fallen; repent, and do the works you did at first." How do we exchange duty and obligation for intimate friendship and love? Let us remember Jesus' miraculous work in our lives, turn from our complacency and focus first on loving Him!
