BAPTISM BASH

May 19, 9 & 11 a.m.

At Antioch, we believe baptism is a faith-filled response as a result of the joy of salvation, made in obedience to the command of Jesus. While baptism happens everywhere in our church — Lifegroups, weekly services, regular Sunday services — we look forward every year to our special Baptism Bash Sunday! Both our 9 and 11 a.m. services will be dedicated to celebrating the baptism of dozens of people in our church family. If you or someone you know would like to be baptized during our upcoming Baptism Bash, sign up now!

SEND OUT SUNDAY RECAP

Every spring, we have the joy of launching hundreds of men, women and children for both short and long-term mission trips around the globe.

This year, we have the privilege of sending:

  • 19 short-term teams:
    • 269 people
    • 14 locations
  • 36 interns to spend their summers in France, Indonesia and Colombia
  • 5 long-term teams to:
    • Miami, Florida
    • Southeast Asia
    • The Middle East
    • Kona, Hawaii
    • Chapel Hill, North Carolina

We have three specific points we're praying for these teams. Please join us in praying for:

  • Proclamation — that the gospel would be shared with boldness (Acts 1:8)
  • Power — that salvation, miracles and healing would be released
  • Protection — that our teams and the people they serve would be protected

If you'd like to donate to any of these teams, please click the button below!

FIELD WORKERS SPOTLIGHT

John, Ira, Nadia and Joshua B., International Field Office

Vision: Years ago, John heard a statistic that the average person who feels called long-term to the mission field lasts four years, giving up largely due to pain and team conflicts. John and Ira serve on a team whose vision is to increase the number of years people last by serving field workers. John trains and counsels teams, and Ira provides pastoral care for teams serving in parts of Asia and North Africa.

Prayer Points:

  • Pray that the teams John and Ira care for would thrive, personally and relationally, and that John and Ira would have wisdom about the best ways to support them.

  • Pray for their teenage kids Nadia and Joshua to thrive at school and in life. They moved to this location in summer 2022, and the adjustment was a challenging one!

  • Pray for full financial provision for the Books, including school tuition and extra money to help support Ira's family.
